Reconnect, Reset, Reactivate. Delivering IR for an evolving world

About the Conference

The world of Investor Relations demonstrated its resilience during the COVID-19 pandemic, reviewing and adjusting to the way listed companies engaged with stakeholders, particularly the investment community, retail shareholders, governments and also with regulators. As the pandemic continues to unfold in 2021, continued assessment and agility is crucial for investor relations professionals. This year’s Annual Conference program included topics that are the highest of priorities to the industry and focus on new trends and developments that will influence best practice in IR role moving forward.

The Conference provided insight and support to adopt new programs and prepare for uncertainties. Critical to this is insightful input from influential Australian and international speakers that cover fund managers, senior IROs, CFOs, ESG experts, regulators and a professional development expert’s with global renown.

The information and experience they impart will aid in resetting attitudes and thinking. New ideas and practices explained and discussed with the aim of lifting IR beyond current levels. That will help to better equip people to deal with new and unexpected challenges that lie ahead.

The Conference addresses the impact that ESG is having on global IR outreach; the challenges of sustainability reporting; and how IROs need to update their skillsets. Other sessions delve into megatrends in current market structures, the critical roles that CFOs play in embracing IR solutions within an organisation, and what fund managers and asset owners want from IR.

There are sessions on new practices in global IR; how to simplify messages so that more people will see with clarity your IR goals; and there is an opportunity to quiz industry leaders about their solutions to the big IR questions.

AIRA’s 2019 Annual Conference was attended by 180+ industry professionals, who emerged with new ideas to develop their own careers, to inspire their performance from sharing ideas with the most influential leaders in the IR world.
