Strategic Capital Intelligence

Speaker:

  • MICHAEL STILLER | Global Co-Head, Strategic Capital Intelligence (SCI) Practice, Nasdaq

Since Mifid II came into effect in January 2018 it has caused an increasing disruption to the investor marketing landscape. There are reports that the sell-side are organizing fewer conferences, the buy-side more interested in direct engagement than in the past, and IR teams are being tasked with playing a more active role in their company’s investor marketing efforts without bigger budgets or larger teams. To help understand what options are available to IR professionals, Mike Stiller – Global head of Nasdaq’s Strategic Capital Intelligence practice will discuss;

  • How to use new data tools and techniques to understand how often you should be on the road
  • How to find out which investors you should be targeting and how to approach those investors
  • Which meetings you should be bringing your senior management to, and
  • The latest benchmarking across industry you can compare your IR program against

Presentation

Investor Relations Officers are leading the move to Integrated Reporting

Increasingly, investors rely on a broader range of corporate reports when making investment decisions. Transparency issues have been highlighted and trust is low. Boards and senior management must drive the required changes to rebuild public trust, but at many listed entities it’s the IRO's that are leading improvements to transparency. The adoption of integrated reporting is accelerating, stay up-to-date and create value through transparency.

Speakers:

  • NICK RIDEHALGH | Partner, CFO Advisory, KPMG
  • KYLIE DUMBLE | Associate Director CFO Advisory, KPMG

Session on ESG

ESG the new paradigm – what IRO’s need to know?

Join our expert panel as they discuss the latest developments in ESG. The session will look at the rising expectations for Australasian listed entities to engage on ESG. Identify key material ESG factors; explore emerging trends in engagement on climate change; discover how remuneration policies can be made “less” controversial; and, how ESG data is being used by Proxy Advisors. Given the increased focus on ESG and sustainability and the need for listed entities to understand the business case for ESG and ESG-related matters, this session is one not to be missed.

  • IRIS DAVILA | Head of BlackRock Investment Stewardship (Australia), Blackrock
