John Murray Investor Relations Address

The Investor Relations Address will be held in honour of our late colleague, John Murray, and his commitment to raising the professionalism and practice of investor relations.

The dinner’s keynote speaker:

Graham Goldsmith, Chairman, Seek Limited

Topic: Effective Market Communications and Investor Relations – what this looks like through the eyes of a former banker and company Chair?

Graham will be joined by John’s wife Susan Murray who is a leading vascular surgeon.

Susan’s address will focus on the importance of resilience to help transition through hardship and tragedy to improve personal well-being and performance.

The evening is designed for IR professionals to connect, reflect and appreciate the ever-increasing role, and the importance of best practice IR today and in the future. It's a night to gather and network with your peers and dignitaries including Chairmen of ASX listed entities, and hear from some highly respected speakers on topics at the heart of IR.

Celebrating the wonderful IR world of John Murray

"John was a true believer in the importance of IR, highly revered by colleagues, peers and investors he was a leader in best practice IR and a champion of the industry"

John was Executive General Manager, Corporate Affairs of AMCOR Limited from 1999 to 2016.

He was truly one of the greatest exponents of how investor relations should be done by a listed company.

He served six years as a Director of AIRA and was Chairman from 2007 – 2009. During this time his leadership was instrumental in shaping the future of the Association, and in ensuring that the key objectives are kept relevant to AIRA members today.
