QUALIFICATION COURSES


AIRA offers two qualification courses, a Certificate of Investor Relations (CertInvRel) and a Diploma of Investor Relations (DipInvRel).  These two courses are available to students either on-demand, in-person or live virtual (depending on COVID restrictions) or part on-demand and part in-person or live virtual.  

Students who decide to undertake AIRA's Certificate of Investor Relations may elect to up-skill to AIRA's Diploma of Investor Relations.  Should a student wish to do this, they would be required to undertake days 2 & 3 of the Diploma course only.  It is not a requirement that a student sit or pass the Certificate of Investor Relations exam to move onto the Diploma as the full course will be examinable as part of the Diploma of Investor Relations exam.

The Diploma of Investor Relations is a mandatory qualification for those wanting to attain their Certified Investor Relations Officer professional designation.  For more information about this award, please click here.

AIRA Diploma of Investor Relations | Full Course On Demand

AIRA Diploma of Investor Relations | Full Course On Demand
AIRA's Diploma of Investor Relations On Demand is a three day intensive course that teaches the core principles of the investor relations role in line with current best practice. The course offers insights and provides valuable learning which students can apply in their role.

Day 1 includes seven modules that focus on the Investor Relations Framework.

Day 2 includes six modules that focus on Applied Finance and Capital Markets.

Day 3 includes six modules that focus on Practical Aspects of the Investor Relations Role.

The On Demand course includes all lectures, PowerPoint presentations and course reference materials.

On completion of the full course, students are eligible to sit a one hour online exam which on passing they will be awarded a Diploma of Investor Relations and eligible to us the post-nominals DipInvRel.

This course is a prerequisite for those wishing to attain AIRA's Certified Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) professional designation.

Students have 12 months to complete all course elements and pass the exam.

AIRA Diploma of Investor Relations | Days 2 & 3 On Demand
This course is available to students who have completed AIRA's Certificate of Investor Relations (Day 1 of AIRA's Diploma of Investor Relations) either in-person or on demand. Please note, it is not a prerequisite to have passed the Certificate of Investor Relations Examination to undertake this course.

The course comprises 12 online modules including lectures, PowerPoint presentations and reference materials for Days 2 & 3 of AIRA's Diploma of Investor Relations.

The course is broken into two days (as delivered at the in person course):

Day 2 - six modules that focus on Applied Finance and Capital Markets.

Day 3 - six modules that focus on Practical Aspects of the Investor Relations Role.

We would encourage you to download the PowerPoint presentations and the course reference materials ahead of commencing the lectures.

On completion of all elements of this course, students are able to sit a one-hour online exam which on passing will provide the Diploma of Investor Relations qualification and entitle students to use the post-nominals DipInvRel.

This course is a prerequisite for those wishing to attain AIRA's Certified Investor Relations Officer (CIRO) professional designation.

Students have up to twelve months to complete all elements of the course and to sit the exam. Should a student not complete all elements within this time frame, you would be required to re-purchase the full course.

AIRA's Certificate of Investor Relations is derived from the seven course modules delivered throughout Day 1 of AIRA's Diploma course.

The seven modules of this course are:

Module 1: Introduction to the Practice of Investor Relations
Module 2: Introduction to Continuous Disclosure and Listing Rules
Module 3: Introduction to Capital Markets
Module 4 & 5:Beneficial Ownership and Strategic Shareholder Targeting
Module 6: The Language of the Capital Markets
Module 7: Developing a Strategic Investor Relations Program

On completion of all modules students may elect to sit an online exam. On passing this exam a Certificate of Investor Relations is awarded by the Australasian Investor Relations Association and may use CertInvRel post-nominals.
