Mark was appointed Head of Investor Relations at CSL Limited in 2003 ahead of the acquisition of Aventis Behring, an event which more than doubled the size of the company.

After completing a Bachelor of Business Degree in 1987, at Curtin University in Western Australia, Mark went on to register as a CPA.  He then completed a Graduate Diploma in Applied Valuation and Analysis (FINSIA).

Before taking up his present position he held investor relations roles at Telstra (Telecommunications) when the company was undergoing privatization, and ANZ Banking Group.  Prior to working in investor relations, Mark was a financial accountant with ANZ Banking Group in Melbourne.

Rohan Gallagher webROHAN GALLAGHER, general manager, investor relations & corporate affairs, Caltex Australia Limited

Initially brought in to consult to the company around its July 2012 restructure announcement and related hybrid raising, Rohan was appointed to this role on a permanent basis in January 2013. He is responsible for Caltex’s Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs, encompassing internal and external communication, government, charities / sponsorships and investor stakeholders.

Previously, Rohan was considered a leading Australian sell-side Industrial equities analyst. He was consistently ranked Credit Suisse’s leading rated research analyst over the last ten years, based on internal and external data points/surveys. This includes being a Top 3 externally rated analyst across three sectors including #1 Basic Industrial Analyst (2011).

Rohan is a member of the Australian Investor Relations Association (2008), Financial Securities Institute of Australia and the Institute of Chartered Accountants.

James has been general manager, capital markets, at AGL Energy Limited since July 2016, in which role he leads the investor relations and treasury functions for Australia’s largest integrated energy company by market capitalisation. Before joining AGL, James was Vice President, Investor Relations & Corporate Affairs at industrial logistics company Brambles Limited, at which his role included all aspects of investor relations and corporate communications. Before joining Brambles in 2009, James was Investor Relations Manager at engineering and property services company United Group Limited. Prior to entering the field of investor relations, James was a journalist at The Australian Financial Review, in various writing, editing and management roles. James started his career in London, where he trained in journalism. He is currently completing a Master’s degree in Applied Finance with Macquarie University.

Ian is the Chief Executive Officer of AIRA. Ian was former Global Head of Computershare Analytics, the investor relations and market intelligence arm of Computershare Ltd. Prior to this, he was a Partner at Orient Capital Pty Ltd, and prior to that the Executive Director of the Australian Investment Managers' Association. He has also held senior positions at the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Westpac Banking Corporation and was an Advisor to the Hon. Alexander Downer MP.

He is a member of the National Investor Relations Institute in the United States, a fellow of Australian Institute of Company Directors, and a Fellow of Chartered Secretaries Australia.

Anna joined Merlin Consulting Limited in November 2016. Prior to joining Merlin Consulting, Anna was appointed Head of Investor Relations at Mighty River Power ahead of its $1.7 billion IPO, which resulted in the largest share register in New Zealand of over 100,000 shareholders.  After completing her Masters in Economics (MCOM) at Auckland University, Anna started her career in funds management working for NZ Funds Management.

After moving to the UK in 2001, Anna gained experience in Investor Relations working for the London Stock Exchange and International Power. Returning to New Zealand in 2010, Anna remained in the energy sector with the Investor Relations Manager role for Vector before beginning at Mighty River Power in March 2012.

Chris brings a wealth of experience in investor relations in resource companies. He was appointed Head of Investor Relations in December 2014. Newcrest Mining Limited one of the world’s largest gold mining companies which operates mines in four countries, with a global workforce of around 10,000. Prior to joining Newcrest, Chris ran Rio Tinto Limited's, the world’s second largest mining company, investor relations program for Australia and Asia for four years.

At Rio Tinto, Chris held roles in Corporate Finance and Treasury in Australia, Canada, and the United Kingdom. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Melbourne University and is a registered Certified Practicing Accountant.

ANDREW NAIRN, group executive investor relations, Santos Limited

Andrew was appointed Head of Investor Relations at Santos in 2008.  He has over 20 years experience in the natural resources industry, encompassing finance, commercial and investor relations roles. Andrew joined from BHP Billiton, where his roles included leading the company’s investor relations program in Australia and Asia. 

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne.

KAREN KHADI, head of investor relations, Macquarie Group LimitedKaren Khadi

Karen joined Macquarie in the finance team in 2003. In her 13 years at Macquarie, she has worked in a number of finance roles, leading initiatives such as the Group’s transition to International Reporting Standards and assisting with the Group’s restructure to a non‐operating holding company. In 2007, Karen joined the Investor Relations team, overseeing Macquarie’s communications with the investment community and building shareholder relationships. She was appointed Head of Investor Relations in 2013.

Investor Relations is part of the Corporate Communications and Investor Relations Division, which engages with a wide range of stakeholders to enhance their understanding of Macquarie. These stakeholders include shareholders, investment analysts, governments, media, staff and the wider community.

Marcus was appointed General Manager Corporate at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare in July 2016. He has headed up the Investor Relations and Corporate Affairs function at Fisher & Paykel Healthcare since 2013 which encompasses investor and media relations, corporate communications, reporting, community and sponsorship.

Marcus has been with Fisher & Paykel Healthcare since 2009 and prior to that he was a M&A/corporate lawyer with Russell McVeagh, one of the largest law firms in New Zealand. Marcus received his Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws degrees from the University of Auckland and has completed the Australasian Investor Relations Association’s Diploma in Investor Relations.

KELLY HIBBINS, Head of Investor Relations and External Communications, Vocus Group LimitedKelly Hibbins

Kelly joined Vocus Group as Head of Investor Relations and External Communications in August 2016 following the takeover of Asciano where she worked for over five years as Head of Investor Relations. Kelly has over ten years’ experience in investor relations and broader communications roles.

Prior to moving into investor relations Kelly was an equities analyst for more than ten years. Kelly has a finance background with both undergraduate and post graduate qualifications in finance.
