About the Company

The Australasian Investor Relations Association (AIRA) is the peak body representing the investor relations industry and those associated with it. AIRA was established in 2001 to advance the awareness of, and best practice in, investor relations across Australia and New Zealand and thereby improve the relationship between listed entities and the investment community.  The Association's 160 corporate members now represent over A$1.2 trillion of market capitalisation, over 80% of the total market capitalisation of companies listed on ASX.

Role Overview

AIRA’s Events and Professional Development programme is an integral part of its member benefits offering – annually hosting a range of events including Diploma and short courses, briefings, seminars, lunches, dinners and an annual industry conference and awards dinner. Events are held in capital cities throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Working as part of a close-knit team, this role will be responsible for:

  • End-to-end management of a number of these events – planning, delivering and evaluating
  • Liaising with sponsors and speakers to ensure they are fully briefed on specific event details
  • Managing event logistics and budgets
  • Working closely with our marketing and communications manager to promote events and drive event registration
  • Managing AIRA’s scholarship and mentoring programs

Professional Qualities and Experience

  • Knowledge and understanding of the investor relations industry preferable
  • Demonstrated experience in end-to-end management of event organisation
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office essential. Design packages such as InDesign and / or Photoshop would be advantageous
  • Self-motivated with a proactive approach to your work
  • A team player, willing to work in collaboration with a small team
  • Exceptional communication skills and an ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholder groups
